Based in Chicago, Illinois, the Chicago Cubs are an American Major League Professional Baseball team. The Cubs are known as the North-Siders, competing in the National League Central Division. The Cubs have a number of famous rivalries including the Route 66 Rivalry against the St. Louis Cardinals, which is one of the most bitter rivalries in all of professional sports. In 2016, the Cubs thrilled longtime fans by winning the World Series Championship against the Cleveland Indians, ending a 108-year championship drought.
