The Pittsburgh Pirates play their home games at PNC Park, which is the fifth stadium that the Pirates have called their home. PNC Park seats up to 38,747 people during their home games and has a natural grass playing field. The ballpark has introduced many unique features including the use of limestone in the building’s facade, steel truss work, a riverside concourse and local restaurants. The former Pittsburg Pirate Roberto Clemente is honored with several tributes around the park. The Pirates’ ballpark has hosted countless musical concerts and has been featured in a number of movies, including serving as on-site filming location for the 2010 movie She’s Out of My League, the 2011 movie Abduction, and the 2012 film Jack Reacher.
Pittsburgh has a fabulous food scene. You must, however, visit some staples such as the Primanti Bros. for a sandwich, Pierogi at the S&D Polish Deli and the the Gobblerito at Mad Mex.
