The Atlanta Hawks are a professional basketball team in the National Basketball Association (NBA) based in Atlanta, Georgia. The Atlanta Hawks compete in the Eastern Conference Southeast Division along with Orlando Magic, Charlotte Hornets, Miami Heat and Washington Wizards. The Hawk’s don’t have a specific rival, however Orlando Magic are one of their main competitors, mainly because these two teams are the outsiders when it comes to getting a place in the top four.

The Atlanta Hawks play their home games at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, which opened in September 1999. Up until 2018 the arena was known as the Philips Arena after naming rights were bought by Philips in a 20 year deal. When the agreement was due for renewal Philip’s declined and so the naming rights were bought by State Farm for a further 20 years. The arena has a current capacity of 16,600 and is also home to Atlanta Dream of the Women’s National Basketball Association. Between 1999 and 2011 National Hockey League’s Atlanta Thrashers also called the arena home. The arena occasionally hosts UFC and wrestlng matches and in 2004 hosted the US Figure Skating Championships. You can also watch concerts and shows at the State Farm Arena from the likes of The Who to Disney on Ice.

Atlanta boasts a thriving and diverse culinary scene. Some of our favorites include Korean Seafood pancake at Yet Tuh, Laotian Larb at Snackboxe Bistro, Pho at Pho Dai Loi 2, the iconic Cheeseburger at Holeman & Finch Public House, Veal sweetbreads at Ticonderoga Club, Fried chicken at Busy Bee Cafe and Lemon pepper wet wings at LT’s Wings.
