The Orlando Magic are a professional basketball team in the National Basketball Association (NBA) based in Orlando, Florida. The Orlando Magic compete in the Eastern Conference Southeast Division along with Charlotte Hornets, Atlanta Hawks, Miami Heat, and Washington Wizards. They have a rivalry with The Miami Heat which is given the nickname the Sunshine State Rivalry as both teams are Floridians.
The Orlando Magic play their home games at the Amway Center based in Orlando which opened in 2010. Their previous home was the Amway Arena which has since been imploded. The arena has a capacity of 18,846, and is also home to the ECHL’s Orlando Solar Bears, and the National Arena League’s Orlando Predators. In 2012 the arena hosted the 2012 NBA All-Star Game.
The Amway Center also has hosts concerts and has had many super stars perform here including The Eagles, Barry Manilow, Bon Jovi, Taylor Swift, Elton John and many more.
