The Golden State Warriors are a professional basketball team in the National Basketball Association (NBA) based in San Francisco, California. The Golden State Warriors compete in the Western Conference Pacific Division along with Los Angeles Clippers, Sacramento Kings, Los Angeles Lakers, and Phoenix Suns. In the last few years they have developed a rivalry with the Cleveland Cavaliers after meeting in the first of four consecutive NBA Finals, from 2015 to 2018.
The Golden State Warriors play their home games at the Chase Center in San Francisco, which opened in September 2019 with a concert hosted by Metallica and the San Francisco Symphony. Their previous home was the Oakland Arena which they called home since 1971, leaving many fans disappointed when the team moved from Oakland to San Francisco. The Chase Center has a capacity of 18,064 and The Golden State Warriors are set to play their first game at their new home in October 2019 against the L.A. Lakers. The arena will also be used to host wrestling events such as WWE Smackdown, and is set to host numerous concerts including Elton John, Mumford and Sons, Janet Jackson, and The Who.
