The Los Angeles Clippers (LA Clippers) are a professional basketball team in the National Basketball Association (NBA) based in Los Angeles, California. The LA Clippers compete in the Western Conference Pacific Division along with Golden State Warriors, Sacramento Kings, Los Angeles Lakers, and Phoenix Suns. The LA Clippers have a rivalry with the Los Angeles Lakers. Not only are they both from the same area, but they also share a home arena and when they meet their matches are sometimes referred to as the “Hallway Series”.

The LA Clippers play their home games at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, which opened in 1999. Previously the team played at the Buffalo Memorial Auditorium in New York, when they were known as the Buffalo Braves, and the San Diego Sports Arena in San Diego when they were called the San Diego Clippers. When they moved to Los Angeles and became the LA Clippers they played at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena and the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim before moving to the Staples Center when it opened in 1999. When the LA Clippers play, the Staples Center has a capacity of 19,060. As well as sharing their home with the Los Angeles Lakers, the arena is also home to National Hockey League’s Los Angeles Kings, and WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks.  The Staples Center has been used for two musician’s memorial services, Michael Jackson’s memorial in 2009 and Nipsey Hussle’s memorial in 2019. It’s also been used to host the Grammy Awards and has hosted it eighteen times since 2000. You can catch other events and concerts at the Staples Center including WWE SmackDown matches, and Chris Brown.
