The Buffalo Bills are a professional American football team in the National Football League (NFL) based in the Buffalo–Niagara Falls metropolitan area. The Bills compete in the American Football Conference (AFC) East division along with the New England Patriots, New York Jets and Miami Dolphins. Rivalries outside of their division include the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, Kansas City Chiefs and Jacksonville Jaguars. The team plays their home games at New Era Field in Orchard Park, New York.
New Era Field opened in 1973 and has also been known as Rich Stadium and Ralph Wilson Stadium. The stadium is open-air, with a capacity of 71,608. Besides the Bills it has hosted College Football games, Ice Hockey games and major concerts such as the Rolling Stones, Guns N’ Roses and Jay-Z.
Buffalo is known for its roast beef and horseradish sandwiches (called a Beef on Weck), charcoal-grilled hot dogs and most importantly its aptly named Buffalo Wings. Crowd favorites include Bar-Bill Tavern, Duff’s Famous Wings, The Nine-Eleven Tavern & Mammosers Tavern and Restaurant among scores of others.
