The Houston Texans are a professional American football team in the National Football League (NFL) based in Houston, Texas. The Texans compete in the American Football Conference (AFC) South division along with the Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Tennessee Titans. Their main rivalry outside of their division is with the Dallas Cowboys. The team plays its home games at NRG Stadium in Houston.
NRG Stadium opened in 2002 as Reliant Stadium. It has also been known as PSINet Stadium. The stadium is an indoor arena with a retractable roof and has a capacity of 71,995. Besides the Texans, it has hosted the Super Bowl, major College Football games such as Texas Bowl and Texas Kickoff , The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (or RodeoHouston), International Soccer games, College Basketball games including the Final Four, Wrestlemania and major concerts such as The Rolling Stones, Metallica and Beyoncé.
