The Green Bay Packers are a professional American football team in the National Football League (NFL) based in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Packers (or simply the Pack) compete in the National Football Conference (NFC) North division along with the Chicago Bears, Dallas Cowboys, and Minnesota Vikings. The Packers are unique in that they are the only “small town” team in the NFL and The Packers are the only community-owned franchise in North America’s four traditional major leagues. The team plays its home games at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Lambeau Field opened in 1957 as (New) City Stadium sometimes also nicknamed the Frozen Tundra. It is an open air stadium with a capacity of 81,441. There are not many other events at Lambeau though it has hosted some College Football & Hockey games as well as a limited number of concerts such as Paul McCartney, Billy Joel and the Zac Brown Band.
Green Bay is a small town but there are some must have’s in town. Stop by at Curly’s for Johnsonville Brats & Hall of Fame Cheese Curds. Also visit Krolls West – It is a gameday tradition right across the street from Lambeau Field. Their prime rib sandwich, 8 ounces of chargrilled prime rib on a perfectly toasted and buttered roll with au jus is the way to go!
