The Carolina Panthers are a professional American football team in the National Football League (NFL) based in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Panthers compete in the National Football Conference (NFC) South division along with the Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The team plays its home games at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Bank of America Stadium opened in 1996 as Carolinas Stadium and has also been known as Ericsson Stadium. The stadium is open air, with a capacity of 75,523. Besides the Panthers Bank Of America Stadium also hosts the College Football’s ACC/SEC Belk Bowl and the ACC Championship Game. It has also hosted NCAA Men’s Soccer Championship among other international matches such as the CONCACAF Gold Cup, and major concerts such as Tim McGraw and the Rolling Stones.
