The Nashville Predators are an ice hockey team in the NHL (National Hockey League) based in Nashville, Tennessee. The Nashville Predators compete in the Central Division of the Western Conference along with St. Louis Blues, Colorado Avalanche, Dallas Stars, Chicago Blackhawks, Minnesota Wild and Winnipeg Jets. The Nashville Predators have a rivalry with the Chicago Blackhawks which started in the 2009-2010 season after they met in the Western Conference play-off quarter finals.

The Nashville Predators play their home games at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, which opened in 1996, and have played there since the team were established in 1998. The Bridgestone Arena was originally called the Nashville Arena, and before its most recent name change in 2010, was known as the Sommet Center, when the Sommet Group bought the naming rights. However, the name was short lived after it was discovered that the founder of the Sommet Group, Brian Whitfield, had used fraudulent funds to purchase the naming rights and therefore had to be renamed.

The Bridgestone Arena has a capacity of 17,159 for its ice hockey matches, and has held many events here including the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, the 61st National Hockey League All-Star Game, and three games in the 2017 Stanley Cup Finals. There are also concerts held at the arena from the likes of Carrie Underwood, The Black Keys, and Thomas Rhett.

Nashville has a tons of classic dishes to try. Must go’s include Prince’s Hot Chicken Shack, Meat and Three (sides) at Arnold’s Country Kitchen, the South’s version of Italian at City House and Martin’s Bar-B-Que.
